TIMELINE

Caleido was founded in 1993 from the intuition to apply the extraordinary know-how in metalworking of its territory, the province of Brescia, and develop it following design codes, with an approach to design that conceives the radiating object as a sculpture capable of bringing warmth, beauty and emotion to space.

1993

Caleido is Born

Thanks to the overlapping welding between crossbars and collectors, Caleido raises quality and stylistic standards, ensuring an unmistakable silhouette and superior resistance, becoming a benchmark in the high-end designer radiator sector.

1999

The First Tube-on-Tube Products

With the Fine Design collection, we gave a name and form to every nuance of warmth. Models such as Air, River, Honey, Stone, Skyn and Ice are not simple radiators, but design visions that transformed steel into emotion, marking the beginning of a new era for Caleido.

2004

The Fine Design Collection Arrives

An avant-garde construction system is born that combines single and double rows of radiant tubes. Triple technology delivers high thermal outputs in compact dimensions, combining impeccable minimal aesthetics with the maximum energy efficiency required by the market.

2005

"Triple" Technology: Power and Design

2010 marks the meeting between Caleido and the eclectic flair of Karim Rashid, one of the most influential designers in the world. The Art Radiators collection is born, an ambitious project where warmth meets color and digital geometries.

Research on the concept of warmth evolves with the launch of the biofireplace line. Fueled by bioethanol, these elements bring the ancestral charm of a living flame to any environment, without the need for a flue. Not just heating, but true furnishing objects that recreate the atmosphere of the domestic hearth with a contemporary, minimal and safe language.

2011

Fire as Furnishing: Biofireplaces

The inauguration of the new facility enhances the company’s production and logistics capacity, marking the beginning of a phase of further technological modernization and internationalization.

2012

The New Flero Facility

Caleido introduces brass into its production, launching the Caesar towel warmer. A precious material that combines old-world aesthetics and modern technological performance, ideal for the luxury sector and prestigious architectural contexts.

2014

A New Material: Brass

Caleido research reaches a new material frontier: extruded aluminum. With Bent, a radiator debuts that combines sculptural design with excellent thermal performance. Thanks to the properties of aluminum, it ensures very low thermal inertia and extreme responsiveness, heating spaces in very short times. Its organic form and continuous surface, free of visible welds, represent a true engineering challenge won in the name of energy efficiency.

2015

The First Extruded Aluminum Radiator

2018 marks Caleido’s international recognition with the prestigious iF Design Award given to the Book radiator, designed by architect Marco Piva. The award recognizes the company’s ability to transform a technical object into a high-performance architectural element.

Book's Victory at the iF Design Awards

Extrusion technology is pushed to the highest levels to create surfaces that enhance thermal output and define a minimal architectural aesthetic, characterized by absolute clean lines and absence of welds.

2019

More and More Extruded Radiators

2021 sees the victory of the Archiproducts Design Award with the Ottolungo model, designed by Gabriele and Oscar Buratti.

Ottolungo Wins the Archiproducts Design Awards

A year of prestigious achievements: Parenthesis (design Marco Piva) is selected for the ADI Design Index and wins the iF Design Award, celebrating a curved aesthetic made possible by the precision of extrusion. At the same time, Brasilia (design Gabriele & Oscar Buratti) wins the Archiproducts Design Award, confirming Caleido’s technical and aesthetic leadership.
